This is one of my favorite recipes for the slow cooker.
Slow Cooker Chili
- 1.5 pounds stew meat
- 1 pound ground Bison (or regular beef)
- 1 can of pinto beans (be sure to check the ingredients so there is no sugar or corn products added)
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1 small can of tomato paste
- 1 red onion
- seasoning to taste
Begin by placing stew meat in frying pan and brown meat. When complete, toss in stew meat into crock pot. Next cook ground bison thoroughly. Ensure there is no more pink meat. Drain and add to crock pot. Cut up onion in large chunks. Add remaining ingredients to pot. Stir well, cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Serve with shredded cheese or other sides of your choice!
This meal is hearty and perfect for a relaxing evening.
