Update on the knee. Bandages are off and I can visably see the swelling going down. Two showers and I still can’t get that gross yellow iodine wash off. Ick
Stir crazy is setting in. Big time. After all, there is only so many Zulu movies and baseball games a girl can watch.
Reprieve. We went out to dinner and tried the new Oklahoma Joe’s. BBQ, as you know, is hotly disputed whose is best. Joe’s delivers good fast food. Nothing fancy. Their new place in Leawood, creates the easy atmosphere of the gas station in Mission.
Hobbling on crutches, the greeter made sure we knew what to do and offered a seat right away. Thanks Joe!!!!

3 cup rice (chawal)
1 cup split black gram lentil (urad ki dhuli dal)
1 tsp salt (namak)
1 tsp fenugreek seeds (dana methi)
oil as required
How to make dosa:
Soak rice, dal and dana methi for 6 hours.
Then grind them to a fine thin batter by adding little water.
Add salt to it and leave it covered for 12 hours for fermentation.
Now heat a non stick tawa and spread 1 tbsp of the batter on the whole of the pan.
Grease all the corners and then cook it on the other side also.
Put little water on the tawa and wipe it with a clean cloth before making each dosa.
Definition. Any day you are playing hooky not doing work.
Today’s beach day is at the K. It is 98 degrees. HOT. And a slight breeze from the south.
The hat is a San Diego Hat. I love these!!!!! Finely woven raffia with a very wide brim. Tank top covered with camping cool micro fiber long sleeve shirt makes the heat easy to beat.
